Greetings Comrades and Ladies;

This being my first message this election year to all the members of our Post, I would like to
express my thanks and gratitude to all for re-electing me.  I will endeavor to honor the position
and tradition of the position.

I wish to take this opportunity to ask all members to join in helping to keep our Post the
friendliest one in the State of New Mexico.  When I first joined, I was welcomed by all and told I
had joined a family and if I ever needed anything, to not hesitate to ask.  Comrades came
forward and offered me not only their hand but also advice and help in becoming a true
member of the organization.  This truly made me proud to be part of the VFW.  We have
unfortunately seen several of our comrades pass on in the last few years, but we have also
gained new ones.  I know everyone can help me in making them feel as welcome as I was.

Again, thanks for your support and for all the future help I will need.

Remember all of our sick comrades and sisters and pray for them. Remember to visit all the
ones in the hospital. God Bless all our members and let's pray for all military members.

The VFW Wants You!

Perhaps you were not aware of this, but the VFW offers Funeral Details and Color Guard
services to veterans. We need a few more volunteers so that we never have to turn someone
down for lack of enough participants. A full detail consists of the Chaplain, two flag folders,
one bugler and three for the firing squad.  Due to the fact that some of the volunteers are not
able to serve at all times, we need more volunteers. If you would be interested, please contact
Lee Wooderson for more details. (505) 330-1978
